Loan for freelancers: solutions even for protesters
The variety of types of activities carried out by freelancers gives rise to a multiplicity of needs linked to the economic dimension, which can range from momentary cash imbalances to a more substantial need for money over a particular period of time.
The banking sector therefore provides many different solutions, ranging from dedicated loans to freelancers who are starting their own business up to short or medium-long term loans.
Start-up or short-term financing
Funding to start one’s own business is very specific, and mostly related to the type of activity that will be carried out, and in most cases they are subject to a certain freedom of negotiation of terms with the bank.
On the other hand, short-term loans are designed to compensate for the moments in which cash needs are inevitably met, so that these are solutions that are indifferently addressed to a considerably wider range of self-employed workers.
Normally there is no maximum financeable amount, or fixed payback times, even if they are oriented to short periods.
Medium or long-term loans
This type of funding is dedicated to those who want to renovate, expand or take other projects forward. However, these are sums that are disbursed in the form of personal loans, for medium-high amounts, while the duration of the amortization plans normally exceeds 60 months. The choice is closely linked to the type of job that you intend to do and the type of activity to be funded.
Discounts for freelancers
Even if they are not easy to find, it is possible to find on the market loans at favorable conditions for freelancers. One of the most interesting of the moment is the one proposed by Banca Carige, or Social-Loan Profession which allows you to get a loan from 1,000 to 70,000 USD to finance investments in the activity (purchase of computers, renovation of the premises etc.) repayable in installments ranging from 6 months to 8 years in relation to the requested sum.
With regard to non-repayable loans, the path is almost obligatory: the calls issued by the European community must be consulted periodically. In particular, the new policy that intends to adopt the European Union in the coming years seems to focus on increasing incentives in favor of freelancers.
Can a protested freelancer get a loan?
The road to apply for a loan for a protested freelancer is certainly arduous, especially in this time of economic crisis in which the banks have practically closed the taps to credit.
If you are protested, but you have a non-mortgaged property and you have debts, the most immediate solution could be to ask your bank for a mortgage with a mortgage on the property, using this sum first to pay the debts contracted with the same bank or other finance. From this operation could remain a small treasure to be used for future investments.
This solution would also be advantageous for the bank which could replace a credit with no guarantee with one covered by a real guarantee.
