• The US Naval Sea Cadet unit at Quonset Point, RI, visited Juliett 484 in the spring of 2002, shortly after the submarine's arrival in Rhode Island. In doing so, they were the first Sea Cadets ever to board a submarine from the Soviet Union. They chronicled their adventure here.

• In May 2002, a film crew from National Geographic Films spent some time aboard Juliett 484, shooting footage of scenes to recreate the events aboard the ill-fated Soviet ballistic missile submarine K-19.
