Sergei Khrushchev, son of the late Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev and senior fellow at Brown University's Watson Institute for International Studies, toured Juliett 484 on April 29, 2002. Khrushchev headed a Lenin Prize-winning team that developed the cruise missiles deployed on the submarine. He is seen here with USS Saratoga Foundation President Frank Lennon. Mr. Khrushchev was accompanied by his wife. The Khrushchevs graciously agreed to serve as honorary co-chairs of the Providence premiere of K-19: The Widowmaker in July, 2002. The movie, a Paramount Pictures release starring Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson, was filmed in Halifax in 2001 with Juliett 484 used to portray the Soviet submarine K-19.
